Just saying hi

Hey everybody. So we haven't really done much the last little while so I don't have any fun stories or pictures. I've been pretty busy with school, but it's been pretty fun. I did my first clinical for this semester on Thursday. The scheduling for clinical kinda sucks this semester. We have to go from 3-11 on Thursday, then from 7-3 on Friday. I might as well just sleep at the hospital. I was on the pediatrics unit on Thursday. At first I was a little bummed cause when I first came in, there were no kids, just adults on the unit. If there aren't any kids to admit, they'll just take a couple of people from surgical so the nurse has at least 1 or 2 people to take care of. It was kinda boring at first. The 2 patients who were there were not very critical, and kinda didn't need much nursing care. That night though, a little 3 year old girl was admitted for asthma problems. She also had cerebral palsy. But this little girl was SO CUTE! She was tiny too. She had the cutest little smile and she would sit there and "talk" to you, even though she can't talk. I loved it! It was so interesting to me how different it is taking care of little kids than adults. It was so rewarding for me. Who knows, maybe that's where I'll end up. Hope everyone is doing well!
