No we're not in Kansas anymore thank goodness! Mike and I went to Topeka Kansas for 2 weeks for his job. I went with so I didn't have to be alone for 2 weeks. All I can say is I love having mountains. It was so flat and boring there! And we were even in the "woodlands". I just hung out at the hotel while Mike was at work. My days included sleeping, reading, walking and the treadmill, and lots of TV. Really exciting stuff! :) We were both so ready to come home and to eat a home cooked meal. I always like going to dinner, but I've had my fill for a while. The most exciting thing that happened there was we were one county away from where there was a tornado warning. That was pretty cool. :) It's not a very large city especially for being the capital. But it was kind of nice to get away and see new places. :)
This is us before our flight left for Topeka. Don't judge, it was early!
This was our kitchen for 2 weeks. Not bad for a hotel except all of their frying pans were horrible! We tried to make pancakes one night but the pan was so warped it burned half and didn't even cook the other half.
Then our bedroom/living room.
You can't really see it but there was a huge pothole in the hotel parking lot that Mike loved to hit with the rental as hard as he could. That poor little Corolla. It had a rough 2 weeks.
We went to this awesome park that was close to the capital building. It had to ponds with turtles and ducks and geese. These turtles we basking in the sunlight then about 2 seconds after Mike took the picture they all jumped in the water at the same time! So cute!
You can't see very well but there was a squirrel with a huge bushy tail! There were squirrels running around everywhere at this park. We were enjoying the 80 degree weather with them.
